Concrete benches and stools for outdoor use
Communal park benches with and without wooden tops
At CO33, we have focussed intensively on the relationship between people and furniture from the very beginning. And we therefore know that even in the outdoor area - whether for the design of large private properties, such as company premises or clinics, or for public green spaces and urban recreational areas - individual, optimally placed pieces of furniture such as a concrete bench or a concrete table play an important role in creating living spaces in which people can feel comfortable. It's not for nothing that we talk about "street furniture" here.
For our concrete benches in the Angulus Sedes model series, we focus entirely on a classic, modern look that reflects the urban lifestyle. Always minimalist in design and focussing on a clear design language, all of the park benches and tables we design are made in Germany from genuine exposed concrete and are optimally prepared for a long life outdoors ex works.
Weatherproof garden benches with weather-resistant wood
Depending on the model, wooden elements such as backrests or a wooden slatted frame as a seat support are also an integral part of the CO33 design concept. We only use high-quality, local solid wood from sustainable forestry, which we can also finish using the Kebony method - an ultra-modern technique for the environmentally friendly preservation of wood. Kebony woods are extremely hard-wearing and require very little everyday care. This makes them ideal for park benches and other outdoor applications, such as table tops for garden furniture or seats for patio chairs.
Kebony wooden tops, such as those used as standard on some models in our Angulus Sedes Pontis and Angulus Sedes Truncus concrete bench ranges, initially have a dark brown colour that contrasts elegantly with the light grey of the exposed concrete. Over the years of use, the wood slowly takes on a silver-grey patina under the influence of the weather - but retains its shape perfectly without swelling or splintering, as is usually the case with many park benches. The "greyed" Kebony wood still looks very elegant and, thanks to the colour matching, harmonises particularly well with the concrete base of the Angulus Sedes bench.
Garden benches and park benches for private, public or corporate use
Wherever you are planning to install a concrete bench - whether on your private property, on the outdoor area of your company, your golf club or tennis club or, for example, on a municipal contract for the design of parks and green spaces for public use - with our Angulus Sedes models we offer you a wide range of options for every (seating) occasion.
Angulus Sedes Pontis - the classic park bench
The U-shaped concrete body, easy to set up and very stable, looks almost like the prototype of a park bench. The seat height is designed for optimum comfort, while the free-standing design with concrete feet on the left and right ensures plenty of legroom. Like all concrete benches, the "Pontis" - unlike a park bench or garden bench made of metal - remains pleasantly cool even on the hottest summer days. Variations with and without a wooden seat and an optional wooden backrest make this model series an absolute all-rounder among our street furniture.
Angulus Sedes Latus - the minimalist park bench
Flat and very discreet, this bench seems to breathe a hint of Japanese bridge construction. With a material thickness of just 15 cm, the "Latus" is almost delicate for a concrete bench. Its simple and well thought-out design also allows the benches to be equipped with a seating area of more than 2 metres in length. Perfect on a campus, exhibition centre or company premises, for example, or anywhere else where many people often want to sit next to each other.
Angulus Sedes Cubus - the modern park bench
It shows corners and edges - and yet impresses with its perfect elegance: its geometric shape means that the "Cubus" immediately catches the eye, but at the same time allows the viewer a clear view of the (park) landscape from every angle. It looks like a picture frame in a public space - and is also practical and flexible. Thanks to its special design, the Angulus Sedes Cubus park bench can be easily moved to a new location at any time. A park bench as dynamic and open as a big city in the 21st century. We recommend the Angulus Tabula model as a matching table and the Angulus Fumare model as a litter bin.
Angulus Sedes Truncus - the robust park bench
A light, floating design is not required everywhere. Sometimes you want concrete to be a little more "tangible". For example, because the park benches should harmonise with a nearby building complex or because the benches are expected to be used frequently. Nevertheless, contemporary street furniture should of course never appear coarse or harsh as it did in the days of "brutalism" in the 1960s and 1970s. Fortunately, concrete can also be different, as we happily prove time and again with CO33. And so we present the best of both worlds with our "Truncus" park benches: A concrete body closed on one side also gives the bench increased visual stability, while retaining the elegant geometry of the "Cubus" series. The optional seat and backrest made of the best Kebony solid wood and the option of combining it with our Angulus Herba planters make this series of high-quality concrete benches an all-rounder for both public and private use.
Opus Longus - The elegant park bench
The concrete surface of the OPUS LONGUS is only 50 mm thick - but with a load capacity of up to 800 kg, it is a real bench in terms of load-bearing capacity. The OPUS LONGUS has the typical CO33 design with its characteristic round shapes and unmistakable elegance. Visually, this bench would probably pass for an artistic sculpture - but in practical terms, it is a modern, well thought-out bench that is weather-resistant and versatile. The only requirement: an absolutely level surface. If this proves difficult, you can help by preparing a bed of grit with a 2/5 grain size. There is no doubt that a park bench like this is not available on every corner - and is therefore particularly suitable for setting accents, whether on private property or company premises or in public green spaces.
