Sculpture "Quadrata" steel with concrete - squaring the circle for fans of affordable art

Do you like 20th century abstract art, paintings by Kandinsky, Mondrian or Sonia Delaunay? Then you will love "Quadrata", because this sculpture really does look a little as if one of the works by the aforementioned artists has simply come down from the wall to take its place in your living room. Metal squares in different sizes, some solid, some consisting only of their outer frame, loosely grouped around each other, as if by chance and yet seemingly following an inner order: this is how the steel sculpture, which is available exclusively from us in two sizes, for placing on a table or sideboard or free-standing in the room, presents itself. The concrete base, which keeps the floating steel construction in balance, forms a perfect unit with the metal squares thanks to its cube shape. Particularly in the version with the sculpture made of hammered, untreated steel and a base in anthracite grey, the combination of the second and third dimensions creates a fascinating interplay with the spatial effect. But even in other colours - for example with a light grey base in a classic concrete look or in the particularly elegant "gold" version, in which we coat the raw steel with a matt shimmer varnish once the sculpture is finished - "Quadrata" always appears to be a real small work of art and not just a decorative object. The asking price, on the other hand, should reassure all those who feared that they would have to pay the usual sums on the gallery market for such a sculpture.

Like each of our sculptures, "Quadrata" is individually and 100% handmade in the CO33 workshop and is therefore unique in its own right. The concrete base is made of exactly the same high-quality concrete as our designer furniture and was deliberately left with its original, rough "earthy" texture to create an attractive contrast to the smooth, cool surface of the steel sculpture.
